Theatrix Performing Arts Centre opened in 2001. We strive to foster the creativity in every dancer; to build confidence in self expression, proficiency in technique, as well as sensitive musicality and artistry. At Theatrix, we understand that the best education in dance transcends the studio. What can be learnt through dance forms the pillars of our identity and this is what holds our students in great stead, not only as well rounded performers but also as successful young people in the real world.
Theatrix principal, Brooke Synnott, is a passionate performer and experienced dance teacher of over 20 years. As a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Brooke has appeared in leading Australian musicals such as Cats, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sunset Boulevard, Spamalot, Crazy For You, The Producers, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (with Geoffrey Rush), Guys and Dolls, and Funny Girl.
